Double Covering is a hollow spindle process where two strands of a non-elastic covering yarn are wound in opposite directions around an elastane core.

Single Covering is another hollow spindle process using a single strand which is wound around the core.

Bilorex is Wykes' one step combining process in which the nylon cover is simultaneously textured and combined with the elastane core.

Air Intermingling is a process where the elastane core and multi filament yarn are fed through a pressurised air jet which blows the filaments of the covering yarn apart causing them to partially intermingle around the core.
